Ranchland East Neighborhood

Ranchland East is an El Paso, Texas, neighborhood. Hunter Drive, Phoenix Avenue, and Giles Road comprise the boundaries of Ranchland East, with another boundary running parallel to Gateway Boulevard East.

Located in the southeast corner of Ranchland East, Hacienda Park is one of the main centers of activity in this neighborhood. Along with green areas and a place to play, this park offers a beautiful 1900+ square foot shelter that is available to rent for events of various kinds.

Next to this park is the Lionel Forti Swimming pool, one of El Paso’s designated Aquatic Centers. Here, neighborhood children and adults can take swimming lessons. Mothers with babies can also enjoy classes together, and those looking for exercise can take some time for aquatic aerobics. The Summer Swim League offers team events.

Although the interior blocks of this neighborhood are primarily residential, there are numerous pockets of business nearby. City bus stops on the main roads here ensure that transportation is always available.

At the southwest corner of Ranchland East is one of the campuses of El Paso Community College. This is the fastest growing community college in Texas, and grants more associate degrees to Hispanic students than any other grantor in the nation. The El Paso Community College Baseball Stadium is also on this campus.

Conjoined with the EPCC campus is the Valle Verde Early College High School. Students at this school graduate with both a high school diploma and an associates degree from the college.

Ranchland East is next to Interstate 10, giving its residents about a 15-minute commute to downtown El Paso.
