Euless, TX Condos for Rent

Adjacent to the Dallas/fort Worth International Airport and halfway between Fort Worth and Dallas, Euless is a bustling small city of about 51,200 people. If you’d like to be one of them, apartments in Euless are convenient to the entire Dallas Metroplex. It is also a green city filled with trees and park space. Grapevine Lake is just north of Euless and is a popular destination for boating and fishing.

Euless is named for its very first settlers, E.A. Euless and his wife, Judy. The couple arrived to the area in 1879, building a home and a cotton gin. In 1892, Euless left farming for politics – he became the county sheriff in 1892 (a landslide victory) and was reelected in 1894. Euless was very well-liked and popular, and the settlers decided to name the community in his honor. Euless died of a stroke in 1911.

After choosing your new Euless apartment, you can learn more about the history of your chosen city at Historic Heritage Park. This park contains three historic buildings: the first brick house in Euless, the Fuller House; the Himes Log House, which was built in the 1850s and is the oldest building in Euless and one of the oldest buildings in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex; and McCormick Barn, built around 1919 from the lumber of Camp Bowie, which was torn down after WWI. The lumber from the barracks was giving to anyone who wanted to haul it off. The Euless Heritage Museum is located next to the park.

As a Tree City USA, Euless celebrates its forested landscape with Arbor Daze, held in April. The event includes live music, activities for children, and vendors. The Arbor Daze Festival is award-winning and is one of the state’s most celebrated festivals.

If you are moving to an apartment in Euless with children, the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District is considered one of the best in the state. The district contains 20 elementary schools, five junior high schools, two high schools, and one non-traditional high school. Trinity High School is known for its football program; the football team won three Texas 5A Division I State Championships (2005, 2007, and 2009).
