South Park Neighborhood

Located south of the 610 Loop nine miles from downtown Houston, South Park is a large neighborhood developed during the 1950s and 1960s. It is between Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Mykawa Road. It is part of the Houston ISD and students in South Park attend Jones High School.

South Park is three miles west of Hobby Airport, three miles south of Macgregor Park, and four miles south of the University of Houston. Texas Southern University is five miles northwest of South Park. South Park is one of Houston’s Super Neighborhoods, a program that works to address needs and concerns of communities.
