Johnson City, TX Apartments for Rent

The bigger-than-life 36th President of the United States, Lyndon B. Johnson, is one of only four people who served as a Representative, Senator, Vice President, and President. Vic President Johnson became President when John F. Kennedy was assassinated in 1963. He was elected again in 1964. He grew up in a town named for his family – Johnson City was named for James Polk Johnson, LBJ’s father’s cousin.

Johnson City is home to the Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park. At the heart of this park is the LBJ Ranch, where the former President was born, where he lived, and where he died. Visitors can take a self-guided ranch tour by car and see the ranch house, the family cemetery, and the President’s birthplace. The LBJ Ranch, referred to as the Texas White House, is open to the public for tours, as well.

When you rent a Johnson City apartment, you’ll also be able to enjoy the Exotic Resort Zoo, the Captain Perry Texas Ranger Museum, the Bamberger Ranch Preserve, the Johnson City Water Sport Area, the Johnson City Swimming Pool, the Johnson City Hiking Path, and the Westcave Preserve. Popular Johnson City events include the Blanco County Fair and Rodeo, Lights Spectacular Hill Country Style, and the Johnson City Pig Roast.
