Kenedy, TX Apartments for Rent

About halfway between San Antonio and Corpus Christi just off Highway 37, Kenedy is a small city with a fascinating history. The area once belonged to Don Carlos Martinez as part of a Royal Spanish Grant. In 1886, Mifflin Kenedy bought about 400,000 acres, and the area became an important railroad stop. It definitely had “Wild West” flair, and all of the gun fights earned Kenedy Junction a nickname – Six Shooter Junction.

Things have settled down in Kenedy, which has become Karnes County’s largest city and the economic hub for the area. You’ll enjoy a wide variety of activities and festivals when you rent an apartment in Kenedy, such as the Six Shooter Junction Shoot-Out Golf Tournament and Bluebonnet Days. You’ll also be living in the Horned Lizard Capital of the World.

Kenedy residents enjoy the beautiful, 100-acre Joe Gulley Park that serves as the town hub. It contains baseball fields, picnic areas with barbecue equipment, a two-mile walking trail, and playgrounds. The town also features a nine-hole golf course and several restaurants, hotels, and bed-and-breakfasts.
