Mexia, TX Apartments for Rent

Named after a hero from the Texas Revolution, Mexia is an accepting city full of small-town charm and family-friendly attractions. The city’s motto, “A great place, no matter how you pronounce it,” steams from the city’s name often being mispronounced by visitors. With an average annual temperature of 67 degrees, Mexia is full of natural beauty and opportunities for the entire family to enjoy the outdoors.

Major employers of the city include Parkview Regional Hospital, Mexia Independent School District, and Navarro College. The hospital includes a Level IV Trauma Emergency Room, inpatient and outpatient facilities, and state-of-the-art labor and delivery suites. Four-year degrees are available at Navarro College, and the Mexia Schools Museum is one of the few museums dedicated to preserving the history of a public school system.

Fort Parker State Park is an area favorite with 25 camp sites, a boat ramp, a learning center, and the Confederate Reunion Grounds Historic Site. Opportunities for recreation are also available at Hughes City Park and Fairfield Lake State Park, where visitors can enjoy water sports on the 2,400-acre lake. Mexia hosts several events throughout the year, including a large Juneteenth celebration and an annual rodeo. Whether you’re looking for quality education from Mexia’s public school system or a chance to enjoy the natural beauty of Texas, renting an apartment in Mexia will afford you countless opportunities for family fun.
