Prospect Hill Neighborhood

The Prospect Hill neighborhood in San Antonio is located between Woodlawn Lake and Prospect Hill. It is also home to Rosedale Park and has a very active neighborhood association.

Rosedale Park is located on more than 60 acres of this Texas neighborhood and has amenities such as off-street parking, a baseball field, a softball field, and basketball courts. The park also has picnic facilities for large and small groups. One of the fascinating facts about this park is that it was originally only 1.7 acres and part of what was called the Rosedale subdivision when it was named in 1892.

Another area park that offers several options for families is the Elmendorf Lake Park. Visitors can enjoy swimming, fishing in the lake, and walking on just over a mile of trails.

The Prospect Hill neighborhood is served by the Rodriguez Elementary School, Irving Middle School, and Holy Cross High School. There are also several other schools within a mile.

Shopping centers that are easy to reach from Prospect Hill include Rivercenter Mall, Las Palmas Shopping Center, and Plaza Marketplace. These are all located less than five miles from the neighborhood.

The Prospect Hill community is within five miles of San Antonio Children’s Museum, the Buckhorn Museum & Saloon, and Ripley’s Believe It or Not!.

The neighborhood is great for those who love to walk. The wide sidewalks are protected from hot, sunny days by lush trees, and there is ample space between the sidewalks and oncoming traffic.

Whether residents love city living or suburban living, the Prospect Hill neighborhood offers the best of both.
