Spring Creek Neighborhood

Spring Creek is on the northeast side of San Antonio, Texas, less than a 30-minute drive from the downtown area. This community is bounded by Stahl Road on the north, Judson Road on the east, and Nacogdoches Road on the south. Its western boundary extends to include the homes on the west side of Spring Mist. The zip code here is 78247, and this neighborhood is part of Bexar County. Area communities include Hill Country, The Villas of Spring Creek, Fox Run, and Woodstone.

Spring Creek is primarily residential, comprised of several hundred single-family homes; however, a few commercial offerings can be found scattered throughout as well. A church and the Stahl Elementary School are also located within neighborhood bounds in the northwest corner. The John H. Wood Middle School is easily within walking distance to the southeast.

One of the advantages of the Spring Creek neighborhood is its proximity to area parks. Within walking distance are McClain Park, Friesenhahn Park, and Comanche Lookout Park. These parks are mostly undeveloped, great for hiking, picnicking, or exploring nature. Those that crave more city park amenities may frequent nearby McAllister Park. This 984-acre park offers plenty of wilderness as well, but it also offers numerous baseball and soccer fields, many miles of trails, pavilions, picnic facilities, restrooms, and even a dog park.

For local shopping, dining, and entertainment, there are several options within a few miles east of this community, including the Rolling Oaks Mall and Forum at Olympia Parkway. A movie theater is situated nearby.

Additional facilities within a few miles of Spring Creek include the Northeast Methodist Hospital and the San Antonio International Airport.
