Vista Del Norte Neighborhood

Vista Del Norte is a residential area in northern San Antonio and within Bexar County. It consists of a single main street (Vista Del Norte) off of FM 2696, as well as many smaller roads stemming from FM 2696. Among the many multi-unit residences in this area are the Villas of Vista Del Norte, Biltmore Park Apartments, Cape Cod Apartments, Las Brisas Apartments, and Apartments at Brandon Oaks. The zip code for Vista Del Norte is 78216.

Probably the most significant feature of the Vista Del Norte neighborhood is its close proximity to the Phil Hardberger Park and Conservancy, which is situated immediately on the other side of Blanco Road/FM 2696. This 311-acre park is the newest addition to the San Antonio parks system. It was formerly a dairy farm, but the land has been restored to its natural state. It now serves as both an educational and recreational center. Vista Del Norte residents will enjoy the quick and easy access to the park’s new hiking and biking trails, as well as the children’s play area. Dog owners will love having an 1.8-acre off-leash dog park so close to home.

Bordering FM 2696 are a variety of commercial offerings, and two small retail centers can be found within a mile to the south. Another retail option, Fiesta Trails shopping center, is within five miles to the west. Among the selections at this popular area retail center are a Target, Office Depot, Stein Mart, Marshall’s, and H-E-B.

The San Antonio International Airport is within a few miles to the southeast of Vista Del Norte, making this an ideal neighborhood for frequent travelers. Also within 10 miles of the neighborhood are the Southwest Texas Medical Center, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, The Shops at La Cantera, and the University of Texas at San Antonio.
