Indian Springs Neighborhood

The beautiful Houston suburb of The Woodlands consists of smaller “villages,” or neighborhoods, each of which has easy access to parks, shopping centers, schools, playgrounds, and religious centers. The villages are connected by trails and pathways that also lead to many of the community’s amenities. Indian Springs is the smallest of the villages with approximately 2200 homes.

In 1984, artifacts belonging to the Bidai tribe of the Atakapan Indians were discovered in the area, and that is how the village got its name. Indian Springs is characterized by a secluded feel, towering trees, rolling hills and large custom designed homes. It is the only village that has actual hills.

Among the larger parks in the village are Forestgate and Falconwing Parks, both of which have swimming pools and water parks. Both the renowned John Cooper School, a private K-12 college preparatory school, and the Interfaith Development Center, one of the largest child care centers in the area, are located in the village of Indian Springs.

The Indian Springs Village Center houses the H-E-B supermarket, the Tapas restaurant Mi Luna, Sakekawa Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi, and many other professional services. The Woodlands Crossing shopping Center houses a Walgreen’s, a Starbucks, a 24-Hour Fitness, and many other restaurants and shops.

Founded more than 30 years ago, The Woodlands is 35 miles northwest of Houston, affording residents with the opportunity to live in a safe, beautiful, friendly, and family-oriented community. Indian Springs is located in the southern area of the Woodlands, south of Woodlands Parkway and West of Gosling Road. The Woodlands Parkway goes right into Interstate 45, providing fast and efficient access to Houston and all of the amenities of the nation’s fourth largest city, including the Houston Grand Opera, several great sports teams, and Moody Gardens in Galveston.
