It has the Station House Museum, the Hearse and Caretakers’ Museum, the Pest House Medical Museum, and the Mourning Museum. It also has the Chapel and Columbarium. Many famous and infamous local people are buried in this cemetery.
For over 200 years the Lynchburg Community market has been a part of this city. Located in the heart of downtown, it is managed by the Park and Recreation Department. The market offers local produce in season along with crafts and food at all times of the year. It is the place to come for a taste of the real Lynchburg.
