Grandin Court Neighborhood

The Grandin Court neighborhood of Roanoke, Virginia, is tucked into the hills. This older neighborhood has single family homes and multi-family dwelling dating back to the 1920s. The northern border is Grandin Court NW (U.S. Highway 11). Creston Avenue SW is the border to the south. The eastern border follows Brandon Avenue SW to Blemheim Road SW and onto Blair Road SW. The west border is the Roanoke County Line.

In the northeast corner are the Patrick Henry High School and the Raleigh Court Elementary School. Both of them are adjacent to the 21-acre Shrine Hill Park and the Murray Run Greenway that links the High School with the surrounding neighborhoods

The area also has two additional parks. The 50-acre Fishburn Park is shared with the adjoining neighborhood and the 6-acre Woodland Park just north of Brambleton Avenue SW. The parks have tennis and basketball courts and baseball fields. There are play areas for the children.

Shopping and dining can be found on Grandin Court NW and Brambleton Avenue SW which is also U.S, Highway 221. These two streets run through the neighborhood and are the main arterial routes that provide the residents with all the services they could need. Along these routes are great places to dine. The Roanoke Transit system runs east and west routes on Grandin Court NW and Brambleton Avenue SW.

The tree-lined streets are a great place for residents to enjoy their neighborhood. Many of the streets have sidewalks and residents can be found walking day or night. Grandin Court may be tucked away, but it is close to everything that Roanoke has to offer.
