There are two staircases; one that only goes to the upper level, and the main one that goes both upstairs and down to the lowest level, where there is another family room, the kitchen, laundry and a 1/2 bath. The lower level has plenty of windows, slate floors, another fireplace, and 2 ground level, walk-out doors. There are two other brick fireplaces in the home; one in the main level living room, and one in the main level bedroom.
