Seattle at a Glance
Capitol Hill Neighborhood
Capitol Hill occupies the tallest point in Seattle, over 500 feet above sea level. One of the oldest neighborhoods in Seattle, Capitol Hill offers a busy mix of stores and restaurants along Broadway, the neighborhood’s main street.
Many students live on Capital Hill, attending the colleges like Seattle University, Cornish College of the Arts, and Seattle Central Community College. The University of Washington is also visible from the north end of Capitol Hill, and many of the school’s students and faculty live in the area as well. The area also offers extensive nightlife options, bars, and clubs.
Art lovers enjoy the Seattle Asian Art Museum located in Volunteer Park. The park also hosts an orchid garden, as well as walking and biking trails. Outdoor lovers also visit Cal Anderson Park for walking, biking, and other sports. St. Mark’s Cathedral occupies a large plot on Tenth Avenue East. Seattle’s oldest Episcopal Parish was established in 1865 and the current cathedral location was built in 1928.
Homes in Capital Hill range from small to large single-family homes, as well as many high-rise apartments and condos. Locations overlooking Lake Union command both stunning views and higher prices. Elementary students attend Lowell Elementary, T.T. Minor, or private schools like the Bertschi School or St. Joseph School. Seattle Hebrew Academy is also located on Capitol Hill.
Buses carry commuters to downtown, while express buses offer quick transportation to the Eastside, where many of the area’s tech jobs are located.

About Our Deals
Apartment Finder utilizes the industry's largest and most complete database of real-time rents and availabilities to help you find an amazing deal on your next rental.
Price Drop
Apartment communities change their rental rates often - sometimes multiple times a day. We track the changes and keep you up to date when a rental rate decreases.
Best Value
"Best value" units are located in buildings rated three stars or higher. We label apartment rentals that are priced significantly less than similar high-quality units nearby.
Rent Specials
Apartment communities regularly advertise deals for new residents. Whether it's a move-in special or a free tv, we locate the rentals that offer a little something extra when you sign your lease.
Note: Based on community-supplied data and independent market research. Subject to change without notice.
