Seattle at a Glance
Wallingford Neighborhood
Seattle’s Wallingford neighborhood borders the University District, home to the University of Washington. As a result, the neighborhood is home to many students and faculty. The area houses bungalows and multiplex apartments and condos, and its tree-lined streets are biker and walker friendly.
Wallingford’s main street is 45th Street, beginning at Sunnyside Avenue North and extending to Stone Way. The street is home to restaurants, grocery stores, and the long-standing Guild 45th Movie Theater. The neighborhood along 55th Street, known as Tangletown, hosts another, smaller, collection of stores and restaurants.
For outdoor lovers, Wallingford is bounded on the south end by Gas Works Park, and on the north by Green Lake and Woodland Park. Gas Works was once a working gas production site, and is now a view park for picnicking, boat watching, and sun worshipping. The Burke Gilman Trail runs along the lake and out to the suburbs, but not before linking to a path that runs completely around Lake Union. Woodland Park is home to the Woodland Park Zoo.
Green Lake is a popular destination for joggers and bikers who enjoy its 2.9-mile loop. The lake is also home to Green Lake Crew and sailing classes in the summer, as well as paddleboat rentals and two swimming beaches.
Students in Wallingford attend either Roosevelt or Ballard High Schools, after graduating from elementary and middle schools like Hamilton Middle School and John Hay Elementary.
Buses link Wallingford either westward to the University of Washington or eastward to Ballard. Southbound buses provide easy access to downtown jobs and shopping. Biking commuters also enjoy Wallingford’s easy access to bike trails.

About Our Deals
Apartment Finder utilizes the industry's largest and most complete database of real-time rents and availabilities to help you find an amazing deal on your next rental.
Price Drop
Apartment communities change their rental rates often - sometimes multiple times a day. We track the changes and keep you up to date when a rental rate decreases.
Best Value
"Best value" units are located in buildings rated three stars or higher. We label apartment rentals that are priced significantly less than similar high-quality units nearby.
Rent Specials
Apartment communities regularly advertise deals for new residents. Whether it's a move-in special or a free tv, we locate the rentals that offer a little something extra when you sign your lease.
Note: Based on community-supplied data and independent market research. Subject to change without notice.
